Overview

The Audi Framework is a digital platform created to house architectural standards and specifications for the Audi of America architecture program. The Framework delivers content tailored by audience, in a branded environment, via a streamlined and proprietary digital platform.

Objectives & Challenges

Audi’s architecture program sought to transition from a fragmented collection of documents to a cohesive system. While the client initially thought that printed guidelines documents were what was needed, we were able to show through research and stakeholder interviews, that a centralized digital platform would better meet their current and future needs. We identified seven core challenges (inconsistent information, outdated materials, disparate formats, lack of branding, information delays, unknown user experience, limited exposure) and corresponding solutions.

We considered a variety of user profiles, including the internal Audi team, project managers, architects, contractors, dealerships, and vendors — each with individualized levels of access to the platform.

Solutions & Impact

The Audi Framework houses architectural guidelines and specifications across various building typologies. This new branded digital experience improves alignment with Audi’s brand ethos, and reflects Audi’s highly design-driven standards.

Today the Audi team and partners use the Framework as the single source of information and distribution for the entire US architecture program, providing users access to relevant content. With this platform Audi elevates the way they deliver design.
